C5コルベットのガソリンが入れにくいのは、良く知られた話。
より正確には、ガソリン・スタンドのポンプのノズル形状の相性があります。
私の場合、近所のコスモ石油のポンプは相性が悪く、レバーを思いっきり引いていると、すぐにオートストップが効いてしまいます。しかし、近所のエネオスのポンプは、大丈夫。こういう事があるので、私はセルフのスタンドしか使いません。
こういうのは輸入車にはありがちなのですが、C5コルベットはアメリカにいるときも同様だったので、日本のノズルの形状が悪いというわけではありません。
この問題は、今頃になって対策品が出ていることがわかりました。
ガソリンの給油口からガソリンタンクに繋がっているパイプの形状が変更されているそうです。
対策品のパーツ番号は10353139。下図の#19です。アメリカだと、大体$100前後で売っているのを見つけられます。 
交換手順。所要時間は1時間弱だそうです。
2. Remove the left rear tire and wheel.
3. Remove the left rear wheelhouse panel.
4. Loosen the lower fuel tank filler hose clamp through the access hole in the body using a 1/4-inch ratchet and extension.
5. Loosen the upper fuel tank filler hose clamp.
6. Remove the fuel tank filler hose.
7. Install the new fuel tank filler hose.
8. Tighten the upper hose clamp to 35 in-lb.
9. Tighten the lower hose clamp through the access hole in the body using a 1/4-inch drive ratchet and extension. Also tighten this fuel filler hose clamp to 35 in-lb.
10. Install the left rear wheelhouse panel.
11. Install the left rear tire and wheel.
12. Lower the vehicle.
私は、給油にそんなに苦労していないので交換するつもりはありませんが、入れるのに時間がかかってイライラしている人は、試してみてはどうでしょうか。
